Transporting a Mouse using Cupped Handling
One way to ensure a positive experience for mice in research is to use the cupped handling technique when transporting them to a new cage or area. Mice are acclimated to the procedure by allowing them to explore the hands of the person picking them up. This technique is fast replacing older ways of handling mice in research.
